A free marketing audit, done by hand.

I look at your site, your Google Business Profile, your ad account if you have one, and your top competitors, then tell you what I would fix and in what order.

I will confirm within one business day and tell you how long it will take.

What you get.

A written document, usually eight to twelve pages, covering four things.

01

Where you stand

What you rank for now, where you appear in the map pack against your competitors, and what your site is doing wrong technically. Real numbers.

02

What is being wasted

If you run ads, what you are paying for that produces no work. Untracked conversions, missing negative keywords, campaigns optimizing toward the wrong event. People find this section hardest to read and most useful.

03

What your competitors are doing that you are not

The three or four businesses beating you locally, what they rank for, and where the gaps are.

04

What I would fix, in order

A prioritized list, with effort and expected impact against each item. Written so you can hand it to whoever does your marketing now, including yourself.

The catch, since there is always one.

There is no catch, and there is a limit. I do a small number of these because each one takes three to four hours of real work. If I am backed up I will tell you when I can get to it.

I do not follow up eleven times. You get the audit and one message asking whether you want to talk about it. If the answer is no, that is the end of it and you keep the document.

About a third of the people I audit never become clients. Some do the work themselves, which is a fine outcome and the reason the list is written to be handed over. Some find out they have no marketing problem at all, which happens more than you would think and is worth knowing.

What I need from you

  • Your website address
  • Access to your Google Business Profile, or the business name so I can look at what is public
  • Read-only access to Google Ads and Analytics, if you have them
  • The two or three competitors who beat you

That last one matters. The competitor you name is often not the one winning the search, and finding that out is sometimes the most useful line in the document.

Who this is not for

If you want a free audit to use as a bargaining chip with your current agency, say so and I will still do it. Tell me first, so I write it usefully.

If you want a one-page automated score, free tools produce those in thirty seconds. They are worth what they cost.

Request the audit.

Send this and I will confirm within one business day, with an honest date rather than a start-and-stall.

  • No card, no trial, no obligation
  • Usually three to five business days from access
  • Yours to keep and act on either way

Often the most useful line in the finished document.

About the audit.

Is the audit actually free?
Yes. No card, no trial, no obligation. It takes me three to four hours, which is why there is a limit on how many I do at once.
How long does it take?
Usually three to five business days from getting access. If I am backed up, I will give you the honest date rather than starting and stalling.
What if I do not have Google Ads or Analytics?
Then the audit is shorter and focuses on your site, your Google Business Profile and your competitors, which is often where the biggest problems are anyway.
Do I have to hire you afterwards?
No, and about a third of people do not. The document is written so you can act on it yourself or hand it to someone else. It is yours either way.
Will you tell me if my current marketing person is doing a bad job?
Yes, and also if they are doing a good one. I have written audits concluding that the incumbent was competent and the client should stay put.
